When no one comes..

Sometimes we feel called to do something almost intuitively, like checking the mail.
You say ok I will do this, it’s going to be great and people will attend and there will be laughs + fun.

However, what happens when no one comes? When you plan the thing? Write the book? Throw the art show? Do the gig? Cast the play? No one comes? Maybe that’s not your experience maybe everyone comes and it’s a big party.

Maybe you try and hold a thousand different shows and no one is ever there. Or maybe, there’s a few stragglers and suddenly they realize they are at the wrong party.

I had something that I wanted to do the other day and I wanted to share it.

I was sitting in the rocking chair thinking while the clock ticked and the music played, I started thinking about the one.

The one.

How we do things for the one. Jesus tells us to leave the 99 sheep to go after the one. My mom did come. God bless her.

I had an AHA, I showed up. I was obedient. I did what I thought I was supposed to do. Even when no one shows up.

We tried our best and move on with the program.
